Markat Plus with a new distribution center near Krakow, advises AXI IMMO
AXI IMMO represents Markat Plus in selecting a new distribution center in the Lesser Poland region. The property will also serve as a showroom.

Markat Plus, a distributor of wood-based boards and materials, has decided to lease more than 7,300 sqm of warehouse and office space at Panattoni Park Kraków III. It is the industry leader’s next distribution center in the Lesser Poland region, which will also serve as a showroom. Markat Plus was represented in the transaction by AXI IMMO.
Markat Plus has been selling building materials specializing in building and construction plates since 2006. The company also offers furniture plates, including wood and wood-based panels. Markat Plus has been an authorized representative of SWISS KRONO and PAGED Plywood in Poland for several years.
A long-term lease is a safer option
“We were looking for a warehouse south of Kraków, relative to our headquarters in Kalwaria Zebrzydowska. Location near the A4 and close to a major metropolitan area will significantly increase our distribution capabilities. Due to the current market situation, we decided to let warehouse space in the Panattoni Park Kraków III distribution center. Rising inflation, which directly impacts the increase in prices of materials and contractors, a long-term lease will be a safer option,” comments Michał Banasik, co-owner, Markat Plus.
Markat Plus will occupy 6,960 sqm of logistics and distribution space, complemented by 370 sqm of modern office and showroom space.
“From the beginning of cooperation, the client had strongly defined expectations regarding warehouse space and a reliable and experienced developer to work with. After establishing the most important parameters regarding the new logistics center, we quickly selected the offer of existing warehouse parks. Panattoni Park Kraków III was the best option due to, among other things, great flexibility in arranging the showroom and the possibility of future expansion under one roof,” explains Marta Nowik, Consultant, Industrial & Logistics, AXI IMMO.
Kraków is a demanding market
“The Kraków warehouse market is one of those very demanding ones, in which details often determine the success of a transaction. The big advantage of our warehouse is its convenient location in terms of the A4 motorway entrance less than 3 km away, as well as the high technical standard of the property,” convinces Filip Noworól, Senior Leasing Manager, Panattoni.
Panattoni Park Kraków III is a 34,500 sqm modern warehouse park located about 10 km southwest of the center of Kraków, near (about 3 km) the transportation interchange connecting the A4 highway with the E40 European route and national road no. 44. The basic facilities of the distribution center include maneuvering areas with a minimum depth of 35 m, wide parking spaces for trucks and cars, 24-hour security, and CCTV.
