The event underscored how quickly workplace expectations are evolving, particularly as the rise of electric vehicles (EVs) reshapes building standards. The gathering brought together market experts who shared insights on how the growing number of EVs is influencing both the design and day-to-day operations of office buildings.

Is your office ready for the EV revolution? Challenges and solutions for owners, tenants, and managers

Discussions focused on the technical and operational readiness of offices to meet the next wave of user needs.

Key topics included the costs of building charging infrastructure, planning for increased energy demand, and the division of responsibilities among landlords, tenants, and property managers. Speakers emphasised that expanding EV capabilities requires not only building-level investments but also stronger connections to municipal power grids, which in many cases limit the feasibility of upgrades.

Participants also highlighted the role of internal “change ambassadors” within companies—key figures who guide employees through the transition to EV adoption in corporate fleets.

Why EV charging is becoming a must-have for modern offices?

One of the core themes was the growing role of EV-readiness in office selection.

Charging infrastructure is no longer seen as a nice-to-have perk, but rather as a requirement in modern buildings. For many organisations, investing in EV fleets supports both ESG goals and cost-optimisation strategies.

The electric revolution on Polish roads

Data presented at the event further reinforced the trend. According to the Polish EV Counter, launched by PZPM and PSNM, more than 107,000 electric vehicles were registered in Poland by the end of August 2025 — a 74% year-on-year increase. In Q1 2025 alone, BEV registrations grew by roughly 22% compared to the same period in 2024.

Forecasts suggest that Poland’s EV fleet could reach 700,000 vehicles within the next few years, driven by a rising share of fully electric cars in new registrations.

Electric car charging stations in the office – why are they standard in a modern company?

The event concluded with a clear message: EV infrastructure is becoming a fundamental component of office building strategy.

It impacts everything from space planning and energy capacity to landlord-tenant collaboration.

While much of the focus remains on the buildings themselves, speakers stressed that broader network upgrades at the municipal level will be critical to sustaining the pace of change.

Thank you to the attendees for the high turnout and active participation in the event. We are confident that the content presented and the exchange of experiences among this group of experts will contribute to the growth of knowledge in the field of electromobility within the property market.
