Terminal to be redeveloped
The redevelopment of Terminal A at Warsaw Chopin Airport has started.
The terminal is being redeveloped due to the growing traffic at the airport and the poor condition of the building, which was completed in 1992. Both functionally and architecturally the old building is to be fully integrated with the new terminal. More check-in and security desks are to be added and a new baggage sorting machine is to be installed. The modernisation also entails the construction of an underground passageway that is to connect the arrivals hall directly with the airport railway station.
